Let me expose your problem :
The DFA150-450mm 4.5-5.6 zoom is probably - after the late FA*250-600/5.6 - the best K mount zoom Pentax has ever produced.
It fills a long empty gap between 300 and >500mm in the catalog.
It goes further the "competition" in term of range covered with no sacrifice re.speed (f/4.5-5.6).
It has very high standard image quality, usefull range particularly with APS-C cropped sensor, unseen auto-focus properties and buttons (no other zoom has those 4 AF preset barrels buttons).
It has been visibly bought by tens of members in this forum.
And you come here with some fuzzy arguments : this lens is over-weighted and poorly designed, it should be lightweighted like those Canilkon stuffs, usefull for video.
Signing on that occasion your 3rd post in this forum.
Then, i argue that your reasonning regarding weight might be biaised for at least two reasons, but you don't even notice.
So i have those questions :
- do you know anything regarding lens conception ?
- do you know anything regarding Pentax system's particularities ?
- do you know that Pentax gear is definitely not the best suited for video ?
Or are you coming here only for trolls ?
