Thanks for sharing. I was not aware this thread existed.

I shoot baseball and birds in TAv as well - it works brilliantly.

Cross-post.
I originally thought this to be a Lewins Honeyeater, but am now more inclined to suspect it is as being a yellow-spotted Honeyeater. Still ready to be convinced either way. They are very similar, apparently - there is a slight difference in the shape of the yellow patch, and the Lewins has a paler blue eye while the Yellow Spotted has a brown eye. This photo has not caught the bird in the right light and angle to be too sure. Their habitats do overlap, so no help there.
Anyway, here 'tis! From my recent Daintree/Atherton Tablelands trip.

Looks more like Lewins to me.

Great shot! It looks like a Lewin to me, and in my screen the iris looks blue. But if you post the pic on the facebook group "Australian Bird Identification (ABID)" I'm sure they will give you a verdict. I don't have my field guides handy. I saw a couple of new species (for me) years ago on the Atherton; a Bridled Honeyeater and a Spotted Catbird as well as a Pale Yellow Robin.

I'm truly impressed with mine - look on the used market, good deals can be occasionally found - certainly worth the price!

I really should get out more and shoot, but overworked right now, and minimal wildlife activity at this time of year...

Great action shot anyone should be proud of. Maybe clone out that large dust spot (?) to the upper left of the bird.

Thanks for complaining about that, @bertwert - it had been annoying me, but I was too lazy to try and work out how to do that. Your comment motivated me to pop into Photolab 5 (recently bought, and still learning) I have now removed both it and the out of focus blob sticking up from the horizon just below.
