That is very good detail on the dragonfly! The 150-450mm is an amazing lens.

Thanks, yes, it is a better lens than this owner can show off it's abilities. Most of my stuff is pretty casual hand held stuff. If I got off my lazy arse and got up a little earlier in the AM, and dragged at least my monopod with me, or better yet my tripod, I could do a bit better. My DA*300 sits in my dry dehumidifier cabinet, mostly unused since I got the 150-450mm. I keep thinking if I get the K3-III, I might use the DA*300 more often, as it would make a killer lightweight combo with the crop factor, and be a whole lot lighter than the 150-450 on the K1... but I just keep doing what I'm doing at the moment. We are creatures of habit!
Thanks again,
Eric

A couple more from a walk.

Wouldn't ya know, a turtle had to stick his nose in to photo bomb my bird shot?

I asked him to turn the other way and told the turtle to get lost. They were surprisingly cooperative.

This guy was fun trying to catch in flight, opposed to sitting on a flower. They move faster than you would think those fragile wings could handle.

Heh, sounds like your DA*300 has suffered the same fate as my 55-300mm PLM since I bought my 150-450mm monster! (Not that I am equating the lightweight 55-300mm PLM with the DA*300 prime!)

Hard to say, but a cute little fella either way. I'd guess American Yellow Warbler, but the colors are muted more like a common Wren... Depending on age and breeding status, colors do tend to shift around a bit within the species, but I'm no bird expert, just a hack.

Hi Eric
Met my sons school teatcher from when he was about 10 yo. Showed him the photo and he meant it was a young "Yellowhammer" or in Norwegian a "Gulspurv". So Googled that and it looks like it is !
