Nice shot! Has anyone used the DFA 150-450 with AF and the Pentax 1.4x TC?

I haven't seen much..... I'm going to get one a bit closer to Xmas as I'm going overseas then and will get it as my Xmas/ birthday present and claim the GST back when I travel. I was going to do that with the DFA 150-450 but decided to get it a month earlier as I'm going on a bush walkabout next week.

I only just decided to drop the $600 on the pentax 1.4 tc after seeing how well the image held up with the kenko one.

Also just got back a role of film that I shot yesterday with the DFA 150-450.... worked ok but I like the reach of the crop sensor.

The compo DFA 150-450 plus HD 1.4X tc is so fun to use! It makes an absolutely handhold-able 210-630mm/f8 lens that AF fast and accurate on my K-5IIs and when the subjects are quite filling the frame the results are from very good to great, but in any case deliver totally usable pictures!

What has impressed me is the ability to shoot in low shutter speeds and still get clear images! It feels like the compo is even better than the DFA 150-450 alone in this sector! Strange!

When I find some time I will post some pics from various light situations and distances to the subject...

Awesome shots!
I'd love to have more infos about your post processing. Do you sharpen them a lot?

Hi
Thanks

All processing done in Silkypix pro. Standard processing Little strong contrast, bump black level by one or two. Sharpening change to fine sharp and bump up both slides by 4 or five. Downsize in Silkypix without sharpening to 2500 on the long side to post.

Hope it helps.

Thanks, I didn't know Silkypix!
All your shots are taken at f7.1 or f8, how do you find the results at f5.6 / 4.5?
