Something a bit different to the wildlife I usually shoot with this lens. Shot from around 250 yards away at 150mm. It's better than a lot of the wide angle shots I took. Winkworth Arboretum in Surrey, UK.

Not the typical subject for this lens..... Instead of bird on a stick, bug on a flower.

British Yeomanry

A few shots from a British Infantry display earlier this year. A little different to the usual wildlife I shoot. This was a fine display of horsemanship.

Shot at Air Race One World Cup yesterday in Thailand. Still have too many images to sift through, but this is among the keepers. Shot with my K3 II.

Thank you very much. I kind of wish this lens has a bit longer end, however. Something like the 250-600mm f5.6 would be nice.

250-600/5.6 would be a dream lens especially if it would bear the * designation as well and continued the FA* tradition, but I don't know whether such a lens would be handholdable and for me this is my first concern (being able to shoot handheld a super tele even for short time periods!).

Dream lens indeed, but really too heavy for handheld. The 150 - 450 is just manageable.

I can hand hold the D FA 150 - 450mm but if you add the D A 1.4 rear converter to the mix

it turns out to be quite a chore

thanks to the SR, I get some that are worth while with that combo, without SR, no way
