I'd like to see that happen!

But think a while about what a DFA 600/4 would add to the current choice: for many the DA560 is already out of reach or off their list because of its price, size, weight...
A DFA600/4 would either be véééry heavy and véééry big and very expensive, or would be very heavy, very big and véééry expensive.
Nikon and Canon have managed to get their 600/4 primes'weight down to somewhat handholdable, but that means using véééry expensive glass, and with a price tag of 12.000 for the Canon and 12.000 for the Nikon, anyone interested?
I doubt it, the price would by far exceed the cost of K1, K3 and all other lenses most people own.

Chris I don't disagree with what you say, but since Pentax wants to become a real choice for pro photographers it has to add such gems in her crown. Very few of the Nicanon pros are actually paying (at least that money) for their super tele primes but there are quite many that use them. Moreover don't forget the Pentax heritage... We are talking about a brand that had/has such lenses in the past and even more exotic ones (like the exceptional FA* 250-600/5.6). When Pentax didn't have a FF the discussion about it was ending "but they don't offer a FF camera". Now the "objection" is that she doesn't offer many high quality FF glass. I believe this gonna change too - sooner than expected

And even if such lenses are only produced after preordering on demand or are out of reach for most of us non pro phtographers, there is nothing wrong for me if Pentax offers them! On the contrary surely adds prestige and weight if for example Pentax has in its arsenal a 600/4 that is on the same league or even better than the competition, don't you agree?

Touch of LBA tonight, bit woozy.

Anyone know how the D-FA 150-450 compares to the Siggy Bigma?

I'm in the mood.

I would say : slightly better in everything (speed, AF, monitoring, IQ, bokeh), and far range not that significantly shorter.

Just get it.... you know you are going to........ can use your 70-200 in one hand and and it in the other to do some bicep curls and save on dumb bells..... (you did mention you were going to get some dumbbells in the DFA 70-200 club...... not that I'm stalking you or anything!)

I'm staggered by most, no . . . all of the images I've seen from this lens.

Need to swap a bunch of other gear (non-Pentax) with a geezer for one of these plus an Induro gimbal.

That second one - I love it.

I am DYING to try this lens at an airshow. I went to 7(?) last year - with DA* 60-250, 1.4 HDTC and 300, and so far this year, now that I have the 150-450...... none.

Where's the justice?

Me too!

Going to need a gimbal to go on my Induro 4 series too though.

Man this adds up to some money this game!

Edit: This is why I want this lens . . .
