How superb! I still need some serious practice with this lens.

I was hoping to capture some early morning eaglet action... but I think i'm a few days early. I observed zero nest activity today, but was lucky enough to get both parents on their favorite perch branch located in a 'hole' I can shoot threw that gets perfect golden sunrise light. First shot, 150-450 with TC, second shot (later in the morning) without TC @ 450. All with K3

Nice pics! You've got a male and a female Galah (the eyes are different). Rainbow Lorikeet, Crested Pigeon, male King Parrot, Red Browed Finch, Crimson Rosella (the name Rosella apparently comes from Rose Hill in Sydney; "Rose Hillers").

Great shot of the Whipbird! They like to hang around in the bushes unseen. Looks like you got a male Superb Fairy-Wren in breeding plumage and another in non-breeding plumage. The male Satin Bowerbird in his bower is at least five years old. The young males look like females. The Regent Bowerbird is a young male, changing from the female's plumage to the glorious black and gold of the adult male. The turkey is a Brush Turkey. Years ago they used to call rainforest "brush", would you believe? Well done getting a photo of a Regent Bowerbird too! They are usually shy. The only place I have seen them wandering around near people is near O'Reilly's. Nice one of the Red-Necked Pademelon too. That name seems strange to us because it came from an Aboriginal dialect, originally something like "paddy-mella". I really should buy that lens...

Yeah they are hard to shoot, always moving very fast!!

Yes, there was also an adult male (it was at O'Reilly's), but he was very shy :'( .

Ah ah, yes, I can believe that: after 3 months, I still find the accent hard to understand ^^

Well in french "pas de" (we don't pronounce the "s") means "no", and melon is the same word. So to us, "pademelon" means "no melon", which is even more strange

I want to thank you folks [ Merci beaucoup ( that is nearly all of my current knowledge of french after 4 years of HS and 1.5 of college back in the '70s ) ] for all of the useful info on the birds photographed here.

I never expect to see those birds in the wild or even in the zoos I frequent and the photos are great and the info allows me to search for further info.

please keep posting such great photos

ps. - - you will find that most Americans are very lacking in speaking/writing/understanding languages other than English and some from around the world would dispute that we know the English language at all
