Juvenile Bald Eagle, and Red Shafted Flicker. The second shot is iso 40000. Which I thought would be impossible. I was getting worse than this with my Olympus 410 at 400 iso.

Just got my 150-450 earlier in the day and spend some time playing with fine adjustment.

In the end i did a +3 adjustment on this beast with the K3 and here is the result from the nice moon last night.

(:

Cannot decide if the focus is off. Focus point is on the middle area.

Wayne, your moon image is similar to mine. I'm at +5 on both the K-1 and K-3. At that distance I don't think the f stop makes much of a difference either. I usually shoot at f/8 but I might try a series at f/11 to f/22 and see if that makes a difference.

First 150-450 shots

Greetings all. I usually post on the K1 forum, but just acquired the 150-450, so I decided to share my first interesting shots with it here. Impressed with this lens so far. Compared to my D750/ 200-400 f/4, this combo holds up very well.

Spotted this wild appaloosa mustang stallion on my way out for some evening shooting and, suprisingly, he let me get pretty close, which is rare. Shots are slightly cropped 450mm focal length, except the head shot, which is a 100% crop to show detail. I think I'm going to like this lens very much.

Well done! If those are your first shot's, I can't wait to see your next batch.

First Landscape Attempt with 150-450

Attempted to capture a layered affect with the 150-450 last evening. PS @ 200mm, f/8, ISO 100. Kind of like the B & W version, except Silver Afex placed a halo on the mountain/sky border, which I don't care for.

Well done, also I do like the layered effect very much, but it did do the halo as mentioned, and emphasized the dust spot that needs cleaning, heh... I get those too. Can't help it if you change lenses in the field. I have had to learn to clean my sensor. Tip: If you blow it off regularly, dust is less likely to stick and need a wet cleaning, and don't change in windy, dusty environments if you can avoid it.
