Once again, our friend Pelican Pete is on the hunt, but this set I will dub "The one that got away".

I really enjoy your storytelling series! Great images and the story would be evident even without your welcomed comments! Your "stories" are another proof that video in not necessary for Pentaxians! A few wonderful frames are more than enough!

" converters " of any sort tend to pressure others to convert

it reinforces how smart the converts think they are

and when, like Pentax gear " there is good reason to convert, or covet or desire

it is even more of an urge [ evil ]

( buying good " experienced " gear might let you buy more gear )

That's a great shot of the Eastern Rosella and amazing shots of the juvenile Powerful Owl! I've photographed one here in Canberra, but never at eye level or so close. Wow!

(The second shot of the Lorikeets is brilliant too)

Thanks Rob. There was actually a family of four Powerful Owls on the one tree. I couldn't get all four in the one shot with the DFA 150-450, but here are three:

Yes, the Lorikeets are very photogenic, in fact show-offs. I included the first one where they are leaning over and stickybeaking in unison as it's so comical.

this lion's image gives me a sense of " disapproval "

perhaps it's because we weren't outside of vehicle or close enough to be considered a meal

Close encounters of the Red Shouldered Kind...

This red shouldered hawk has been hanging around my house this week in my Oak tree... I wonder what "prey" has his attention? Rats? Mice? My new puppy?
