I obviously have a lot to learn about the 150 to 450 lens but right now I seem to be getting lots of noise in my pictures in all ranges of zoom. Any ideas on how to correct?

The lens wouldn't have anything to do with noise. Try using a lower ISO.
Underexposure also causes more noise.

I've started to hear and see some Yellow tailed black cockatoos in the nature reserve near home. I managed to get pretty close to this female, I got more shots as I approached her but the wider shots are a very messy due to branches.

The other prominent residents of the nearby nature reserve are echidnas

The blue straw indicates that this one was been counted in the population census a few years ago (they now use nail polish).

A dunnock is not the most preposessing of birds but one can really brighten the airwaves. Singing lustily.

Lapwing.

More butterflies.

I'm starting to recognize your posts, many of the same animals and birds, except more variety. Our parks are still closed, I'm restricted to crown land at the moment.

It was -9º C here this morning or Approx. 18º F. That's pretty dramatic since I'd be at you place before midnight if I left now.

I'm starting to think your images are a lot sharper on average since you got this lens... what do you think?

No question the 150-450 is better than the 150-500, but it also cost more than twice as much...But absolutely worth it.

Wren Baby Food

A wren briefly pauses on a cedar tree branch before delivering lunch to its nest of chicks.

Image is heavily cropped, but still looks good.
