One of a series of images I captured on Sunday with the K-1 & 150-450. The location was chosen using the ephemeris to identify a point to be to have the sun rise behind the end of the Woody Point Pier. With the La Nina in play here and a decent amount of rain clouds I anticipated clouds offshore would impact the sunrise but to my advantage with the long lens. I like it when a plan works.

Oh, check out the bloke in the kayak, he was seeing a view similar to me but was a bit closer.

Here's a few of a young bald eagle in North Carolina. Taken with the KP + 1.4x TC.

And a blue heron with some takeout dinner

Not a bird but some flying involved, the take of a P51D at an airshow captured with the K-1 and 150-450.

D-FA 150-450mm helps me avoid being a distraction

As a supporter of a subscription based radio station here in Brisbane I've taken my kit along to some free Shakesperean plays to capture the performances and provide some images to the station for use as they see fit. To stay out of everyone's way and avoid being a negative impact on enjoyment of the performances, I've used this lens to position myself behind the audience. Shooting this way was facilitated by the flexible range of the lens focal length. COVID got in the way of capturing the performances last year, I'm hoping this year will allow me to capture the 2021 performances.

As I've noted before, the bokeh of this lens is surprisingly nice for portraits. Good work Tas.
