A few from earlier this week when my wife and I finally got a chance to walk most of a 1 trail at Iroquois Wilflife Refuge for our anniversary day off. I was trying to stay in TaV mode to get more practice and I shot in RAW but every image I cropped on the camera before uploading.

The sky was clear so I tried some.shots of the moon in raw format then cropped in on the camera...not sure which one I like best yet...I'm drawn to the darker ones but they don't print very well without lightening them up.

All great shots with excellent detail. To be honest, I prefer the lighter shots, just like your printer!!!!

Pale-headed Rosella

Cross-Post.
This is probably the fourth image of this bird I have posted over the last 2-3 yrs, but I think it is a slightly better image than any of previous shots.

I spotted it through my kitchen window as it landed in the Grevillea. I had to slide open, as quietly as I could, a main sliding glass door, then a sliding security screen door, only 5 or 6 metres from the bird, before I could take the shots. My K3 iii was already sitting just inside the doors, on my tripod, with the 150-450mm mounted.

It allowed me only 5 shots before taking off.

I went out looking for this

Pentax K-1 HD PENTAX-D FA 150-450mm F4.5-5.6ED DC AW ƒ/7.1 450.0 mm 1/2000 iso250

But was more than happy to end up with this in addition to that

Nice double catch! Glad I'm not the only one who's got proof that bees are greedy, heh heh.

I'm always amazed that with all the flowers to choose from, a bee will dive bomb a feeding butterfly, but I have only captured it a few times.

I always get a kick out of how these Osprey hover right before they dive, go headfirst, then rotate to feet first. The next set will show the aftermath, and the hard slog getting back out of the water, heh.

Hovering seems to ruffle their feathers...

Pentax K-1 HD PENTAX-D FA 150-450mm F4.5-5.6ED DC AW ƒ/5.6 450.0 mm 1/800 iso100

Is that what I think it is?

Pivot! Pivot! (Ross, from Friends, the couch in the stairwell scene comes to mind. Sorry, I'm just whacky that way)

Osprey dive picks up from yesterday's sequence...

Osprey? What Osprey, just a big splash...

Pentax K-1 HD PENTAX-D FA 150-450mm F4.5-5.6ED DC AW ƒ/7.1 450.0 mm 1/1600 iso160

Oh, that Osprey! The American judge gave him only 4.0 because of the giant splash.

Pentax K-1 HD PENTAX-D FA 150-450mm F4.5-5.6ED DC AW ƒ/7.1 450.0 mm 1/1600 iso160

He's not happy, bad score and no fish.

I've got another sequence almost ready to post from later in that day, a little closer and not cropped to death quite as bad as these which are nearly 100% crops... I really need a 600mm or to get a K3-III...
