I gave this a thumbs up in the 300mm Plus Lens Club crosspost. I like how only the pitcher is in focus. To me this is yet another amazing example of what this lens is capable of. Mine seems to live on my Pentax K3iii more than any other lens.

Same - It was well worth the investment to upgrade from Sigma 120-400.

Nice sequence. The camera/lens combo seemed to work well.

Okay, what is it other than water running into a rectangular hole? Source of the water? Destination?

Most of south-east Australia - esp New South Wales and Victoria - are experiencing unprecedented rainfall and widespread flooding.

I think Paul is just making a non-verbal comment on this sad situation.

Xpost from K-1 thread:

Moorhens, I suppose they are somewhat (debatably) cuter at this stage

HD PENTAX-D FA 150-450mm F4.5-5.6ED DC AW ƒ/8.0 200.0 mm 1/320 iso160

Than at this earlier stage

I get a kick out of how the nubs of the new wings and heads are reddish orange, before they get some plumage to hide them away.

Cross-Post.
Just after a light shower. After trailing his movements at least two hops behind with the 150-450mm, I finally managed to catch him staying still for a split second. I was swinging the gear around on a tripod with the Vanguard GH 300T Pistol trigger head.

Not worth peeping this one as I had set the SS to slow at 1/100 to freeze my fine feathered friend....
