I think you will like the K 24/2.8. As for K series LBA it afficts a lot of us.

Tom G

Yep, sure does .

The 24mm / 2.8 just arrived. looks barely used. But it does have a flattened dent in the filter ring. as does my K 55mm actually. any hints on how to reverse this problem? I've seen the "timber jig and a piece of dowel to knock it out" technique, but I'm a bit dubious / scared, lol.

Anyway, my K lenses in the wild:

and a couple of preliminary snaps on the way home from work:

I have used "piece of dowel" method to correct damage in transit done to a Tamron 300mm f2.8 lens. Worked well. Just steady but accurate taps. Four hands helps! Have lens sitting on soft wood or hard rubber (hence other two hands required!). Good luck

Love the K 24/ 2.8.

Ding in the ring or not still a fine lens.

Here are two photos I took recently with my new K-01, and K55/1.8 lens. The K-01 with focus peaking and older Pentax lenses were made for each other. Notice how the K55 displays macro-like capability in the photo of the multitool.

Nice gear Mike.

Love the look, and build quality, of the old lenses.

I thought I'd try a couple of wide-open shots with my K 50/1.4. I've had it for months now but have barely used it.

Looking good. The K is probably my favorite of the Pentax 50/1.4 versions. Colors a bit warmer, and of course the solid build and focus.

Yes indeed ...

... and these show why. One of my favorite focal lengths on APS-C, and and all-around great lens. Unfortunately mine has diaphragm troubles, but fortunately I was able to acquire the A version which I like just as well.

Here's one from the K30/2.8, three bracketed exposures combined "by hand":
