Here's one from the K55 f1.8, which has to be one of the sharpest lenses in the K mount:

And one from the K28 f3.5 which I think is just wonderful on ASP-C:

Indeed, as you show here. Beautiful light for a ruin!

Dear all,

I have always loved the K-series lenses, but want to sell one I never use because it is heavy and it is in such a good condition (the collectible 85-210/3.5). Since it is in outstanding (like new) condition with hard case and dedicated close-up lense, I would like to sell it to a collector since this seems to be very rare lense. Any help (about how/where to sell this beauty) is welcome. I have never sold through this website and I don't know how it works.

In the meantime, I am happy to take out the wonderful K30/2.8 for street photography.

Curious what your intended asking price will be...

I've got a few new shots taken with the K55/1.8 from a trip this weekend.

I absolutely love this lens. But it seems to have a new rival after I got some new gear during the trip: An M50/1.4.
(I'll have to get out and shoot with that one too...)

Mmm would love to find a K85
I'll match your magnolia theme with one from the 17 Fish-Eye:

NIce photos, everyone. Love the images from the K's, even though I only have the 55/1.8. From a local park last night (xposted):

Arrrg! These spring pictures posted here are making me envious of you folks who inhabit more temperate climes. Here's one from Monday with the K55/1.8. Temperature -10, wind chill -24, snow somewhat receding.

One from last summer with the K35/3.5. I didn't find this old abandoned homestead until just after sundown, so I toned the picture to make it seem more like night time.

Evocative picture. Nicely done!

PS. I know what you mean about the pictures of blooming flowers (and colourful birds). Most of Canada has endured a rather hard winter this year. However, the cold temperatures won't stop us from going out to shoot! Winter, shminter - the Pentax can handle it!

Indeed it can; I've been out shooting in minus 30. However, I feel I've shot enough frozen landscapes for this year and I'm quite ready to shoot spring stuff. The non-arrival of Spring, unfortunately, is trying my patience . . .

Johnyates, very nicely toned black & white photo. What post-processing software did you use?

And just after sundown is a magic time for light, although fleeting.

The winter here in New York was exceptionally cold and snowy, and it has indeed gotten on the nerves of everyone here, I think.

I, for one, welcome Spring with an open door.

Thanks, Mike. I did the B&W conversion in Adobe Camera Raw. The toning was done in Photoshop by:
* changing the mode to RGB
* making a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer and clicking the 'colorize' box, and then twiddling the sliders.

That lens is especially nice on a full frame! It's an entirely different (and, to my mind, better) shooting experience compared to APS-C.
