Took the K-1 to the Cemetery last night for it's baptism under the night sky.... K 50/1.2 at f2.8

Amazingly, the K-1 lens light was quite useful for seeing the lens aperture on my K lenses. (I had to work fast as I was in a country cemetery by myself.... with only so much courage ....15 minutes worth as it turned out.... a good ceremony is a quick ceremony anyhow...)

K400/5.6 on K-1

Stuffed the 400 in my backpack for the last game of the season of the Lacrosee team my son coaches. At 100 yards from spectator seating I was actually able to focus at f/11 stopped down (once I had exposure I didn't want to count clicks). Big, Big, bright viewfinder. IIRC this is the first viewfinder-focused shot I've had with this lens that was close to sharp (K-3 VF is just too dim). 60% crop with the upper left corner anchored. Cross-posted in sample Photos Archive

M Mode: 1/2000, f/11, 3200 ISO

ah.... left my run at a 20mm a bit late...... so expensive and hard to come by now!

I think if I had a 20mm I would be complete as a person and LBA would be extinguished....

I have far, far too many lenses - I'm gorged on MF lenses - but I ponied up for an A20 last year. It's tough even with this viewfinder ;

I was very disappointed with my K 200/4 on the K-1 today. It failed to resolve one of the Seagull's legs. Seems some of those reviewers were right about legacy glass after all.....you do miss out on some detail.

It did mange to resolve a dirty dog face though....
