Let´s bump this a little bit.

Mirador de Es Vedrá, Ibiza, this afternoon.
K50 with SMC Pentax 105mm f2.8

Beautiful shot. I'm expecting five rolls back on Friday with a bunch with the K24, K55 and a few with the K45-125.

K 55mm f1.8

I just received my first "K" lens, a 55mm f1.8. I have a SMC-Takumar 55mm f1.8, and really like it, using it mostly for portraits. I saw this "K" version of the lens on the bay for about $20 shipped, so decided to go for it. It's in almost like-new condition! As with the Takumar 55mm lenses, this one is also sharp wide open.

So, I'm not really new to this focal length, but the K-mount aperture control is nice to have. Here are some first snaps from the back yard with it mounted on my K-30, shots 1 and 4 are at f2.8 (I think), shot 2 is at f4 (I think), and shot 3 is at f8.

LX, K24/3.5 Portra 400 metered at 200. Agadir, Morocco.

Apparently, I didn't check the film when I loaded it and it only started to catch and advance after I had already "shot" 14 frames. Lab says that's the only thing they can think of that would cause the damage and clear negatives for the rest of the frames.

In my view, compared to K 1.2 50, M 1.4 50, M 1.7 50, A 1.7 50 and K 1.8 55, the K 1.4 50 shows best contrast and sharpness wide open.
And sometimes a little 3D pop.

Thanks! She doesn't really care for anyone but my wife and I. Barely tolerates my children. Getting to the point where she's willing to be in the same room as the dogs that we've had for almost three years. All seven pounds of her.

This one is on Delta 3200 from late 2012 or early 2013.

Two dogs, three cats, two kids - house is a constant semi-state of circus.

Had lots of dogs, one cat but a wonderful one, missing her still, but now we have a newborn baby. Rest? what is that?

Btw, I remember from a post on the RFF something like:
"Since the cat domesticated man, man adored her by works of art."

love those cat shots, atb, Robert
