Pentax should make a stripped (and cheaper) version of the K1 for manual lenses shooters.
No AF, no more modes than M and Tav, and so on, with a big sensor.
Would you go for it?
Doubtful. I can always turn AF off, but can't turn it on if it's not built into the body. I just don't see a full-manual (or even mostly) body coming out from Pentax. I think Leica is nuts with their Monochrom model. I think the MP does fine solely based on the Leica brand, but there are a limited number of people who are willing (and have the means) to spend $5,000 on a manual film body before even thinking about lenses.
I probably use less than 10% of the modern DSLR's feature set, but considering how many people buy based on how many features something has, regardless of how many they'll use, a bare minimum body likely doesn't sell unless it's priced accordingly.
