Thank you - it was rather picturesque - almost cheating. Great lens regardless.

Not cheating, but the art of being in the right place at the right time!

Shifted...

A wee pano shot with my "Deviate Lady" Pentax 28mm F3.5 Shift, shifted fully right then fully left (11mm) to make a 11593 x 4889 image.

Very nice! How did you process this? It looks like its taken in infrared, but not quite. On a side-note: now I have learned that there's no need to buy a pano-head for my tripod. All I need is a tilt-shift lens.

Converted to B&W, split toned, high pass sharpened and a wee dodge & burn.

Yep absolutely

N.B. This was achieved easy peasy on a shift lens... not a tilt shift.

Aye just need to make sure the camera is absolutely level, before you start shooting.

I mainly use my K28 shift for architecture. Before I got it I was told firmly that it wouldn't be wide enough on APS-C. Not true. Mostly its fine but on rare occasions when room is limited, one can shift and stitch.

Well, here's the story: Got out of work a little early. Hurried home, got changed and scrambled out to see what there was to shoot...and the light went to crap. Drove around for a fair period of time, looking for something that adverse light wouldn't hurt, OR for the light to pop back out. I was sure I was going to get skunked. Did a loop about a half mile from the house, and the sun dropped below the clouds:

The first one is with the K85/1.8, the second is with the K150/4. shot at f8 and f11 respectively, IIRC.

The first in a little series I did the other day. We bought a canary-yellow table and chairs for our little terrace and I had to find a subject to use them as a backdrop. This one was using the K 35mm f/3.5.
