German architects of yore had an annoying habit of jamming buildings up against each other, this is the Town Hall in Kulmbach Bavaria taken with the K17 on the K200D, I'm ashamed to say its the only K series lens I own, I had no other lens wide enough with me, as you can see I have made no attempt to defish the image.

The image seems to be much sharper on my screen

Nice image! I'm not sure whether this is down to architects. It could just be very efficient use of the limited space in the city walls. What I really find annoying is when they put a modern building right next to one of these old gems.

Yep, that was taken at f/4 and straight on, the same as this one.

I've noticed something similar. Perhaps the forum does something to the resolution?

You bet! I uploaded the image with 2100 pixels in the long dimension; when I download it again from the forum page it is only 900 pixels long. In addition, it is rendered much softer than in Photoshop (which may be browser-related).
