K 28mm f/2. Can't remember if this was wide open or stopped down one.

I was using my K28/2 "Hollywood" lens for the Single in January challenge. Well, I managed 30 of 31 days if you think I cheated on the 30th (I did...). So what did I think of the Hollywood? Super lens with lovely bokeh. Some green fringing when used against the light. Not the most exciting starbursts but I can live with that. Surprisingly sharp even at f/2, extremely sharp stopped down a tiny bit.

This is one of the more expensive K series primes I have purchased. I'm very glad, however, that I haven't just paid for the name as the lens does deliver. I found 28mm a bit wide in January when there isn't much light and the world outside is a bit grey and flat most days. In the summer I can see it getting a lot of use, but whether it will usurp my favourites (the K30/2.8 and the FA31), we'll have to see. I can see me packing the K30 when I travel simply because of the size. The lens is almost the same size as the K120 I am using in Feb.

These are all very nice, Kris. I think I've said this before, but you need to click on the link to view the photo and with yours I always find that worth the extra click.

It is a Chrome security thing. You can either dig into the settings and change them for the site, or just use Firefox. It's an annoying quirk of Ipernity that we're trying to raise money to get fixed. (Ipernity is a club, not a commercial site.)

Anyway, thanks for the kind comments and I'm glad you like them.

Good results there. I'm glad you're enjoying the Hollywood. How are you finding the manual lens experience on the K3 III?

Very nice and easy. Mostly I can nail focus through the viewfinder. If I am on a tripod, I'll use liveview and zoom to really make sure, but most of these were taken handheld and focussed normally. Being able to use ISO6400 with no worries helps with handholding in low light too.
