The DA21 has that contrasty modern look of the DA40, while the K28 3.5 has a classic film look. Also, the difference in focal length is quite large. The K28 offers a natural-looking perspective, so you don't really think about the lens when looking at a photo. The DA21 is more extreme - the wide angle jumps out at you.
Thanks for the insight. Yeah, I don't really have much to compare in the way of modern wide angle lenses. Closest would be the DAL 18-55 and DA 35, the former of which I haven't used in a long, LONG time. But so far, I am enjoying the K 28 3.5, a lot better than my Tak 28 3.5's at least.
