Wow. Great shot. Reminds me of Christmas season. What's that plant called? I'd like one in my backyard
Regarding LBA, I started out underestimating its gripping power by a whole lot Now it takes some real will power not to browse fleabay of or buy/sell section here a couple times a day. At least.

And thank you for the tip on embedding Flickr images. I'll try it out next time.

Thanks! Thats an Australian Native, a Banksia. I love it. Its a place for small birds to make their nests, safe from Tom. The mice dont do so well.

Impressed by K55 1.8

I picked up a K55 1.8 to see if I would like the focal length because I am considering the purchase of a DA* 55.
After 40 years of dust have been professionally removed, this lens has magical qualities unique to all other Pentax glass. I won't be parting with it.

As you so astutely demonstrate with some really nice images.

Thank you!
Has anyone found a nice 52mm hood for this lens that takes advantage of the 1.5 crop factor (so I would imagine a bit longer than the original)?
I also would like a hood for my K 28 3.5...

I went to my local shop and picked up a couple of metal screw in hoods - Right now I'm using a 52mm "normal" hood which would be correct on a film body, but doesnt account for the crop factor.. As I have the M85/2 and its proper hood I see that hood also works with 100mm prime... so you might look at something for short telephoto, or maybe the corresponding hood for The K 85/1.8 or K 100/4

Nice shot Chuck...someone's making a nest....

Just some snapshots from taking my youngest to the track.....K135/2.5

Now.....what could possibly be better than racing? How about "Crash to pass" racing? I was partial to #63, although I was a little worried that he might lose the luggage strapped to the top of the roof....

and a couple others.....
