Dngr - you'll love this lens. The bokeh is very nice. Check this shot.

Dngr - that's too bad. I'm sure that you'll find one here soon enough. There seem to be a lot of 55mm ones in Vancouver so there's got to be others around as well.

Soo I don't have a SMC 28/3.5 as apparently the local camera store doesn't know how Pentax lenses are labeled. They sent me the M version instead and I had an argument with the guy I was dealing with. He thought that the first k-mount lens Pentax made was the M-series, and was the successor to the M42 mount. I guess I should have known what to expect when he had a nikon lanyard around his neck..

tl/dr: no k-series for this guy, but only for the time being

I love the colouring and trails on this utak.

Dunerunner - very nice contrast between the sky and foreground.

Very nice Sue.

Never thought I would land this with a manual lens. Lots of PP of course, it was less than perfect, but I was pretty pleased anyway. Ignore EXIF.. I forgot to change the focal length when I first switched the camera on after changing lenses. It really is a K 55, and 55mm

K55 + K-5iis + Hood

Here's the K55 1.8 looking mighty sharp when paired with a K-5iis and a lens hood:

Took advantage of the slight improvement in the weather and took my K 28/3.5 out for a walk.

I cheated on this last one as the sky was a bit dull, so I added the sky.

Agree with Tom - nice walkaround shots. For some reason I keep coming back to your tire photo - well seen.

Richard, there's a k85 1.8 on craigslist in Vancouver for just under 500 if you want to take that next step..
