Nice, great colours in these. I took Out my K135 for some astrophotography last night and ended up shooting some moon-lit cloudscapes. I'll share them as soon as I get them processed.

I just picked up a 28mm f3.5, and am really liking the it. When I used the K-5, I always like the 85 and above range. Now that I switched to the K-1, I want wider and wider.
I have the 24mm f2.8, but have been kicking the tires on the 20mm f4.

SMC-K 28mm f3.5 on the K-1

@stubyles: You need to print, mat, frame those and find a local outlet. Sit back and count the money. J/S.

Thanks, I wish it were that easy.

These are very nice and they convey the atmosphere perfectly. You could consider cross-posting to the bad weather makes good pictures thread on this forum.

Aha, I noticed the very similar images in the Takumar thread so I'm guessing you used the takumar alongside the -series? Which do you like best and did you use the same aperture on both lenses? If you'd ask me, the stars on the K-series are nicer; in the last picture of the series, they're much more defined in the K and a bit muddled in the takumar.

Noticed quite well!

For this application I found it easier to work with the K. Also, as you noted, the strbursts are way nicer with the K... I used same settings but different cameras (K-50 for K and K-S1 for Takumar f8 / 6-8 seconds exp / 100 ISO.

They're both quite sharp, but I find the Tak to remain sharper through the shot, where the K kinda drops a bit at the corners even on cropped sensor.

I love the tak for bokeh shots... I love the K for Sharp-shooting

Posted elsewhere but I took this with my K-1 and K 50mm f/1.2. The subject is blah but it is pretty sharp at 1/60 @ f/4, ISO 400.

I've been using my longer Ks for some sunrise shots recently as the sun comes up around when I'm connecting for work. These ones are from this morning with the 200mm f/4.
