I've barely used any other lens since I got it last Monday and the colours are indeed nice. The sharpness wide open is impressive, I've barely taken it off f/2.

Well, this is the famous Hollywood K28/2, right? You're right to be addicted to it.

Yes, it is. I've had it since last Monday. This is the only photo I've taken of a person with it. Even the best manual glass is not ideal for photographing kids.

This is nice, with lots of tonality, but it looks a bit dark to me.

Thank you for your response HoutHans. I have indeed kept the photo on the dark side. I did this to keep the color tones full. With a much lighter photo, you largely lose the atmosphere from the photo. Below I have placed a slightly brighter version.

But indeed making the photo lighter certainly doesn't hurt it.

My little one with the K 28mm f/2, wide open, and a crop from the same image to show the sharpness this lens is capable of even at f/2. If you want to see the 100% crop then click on the image and go to Flickr where you can blow it up a bit more.

Wow, these are amazing! I love the scene and the way you've captured it.

Here's what I did with my only K-lens, the K135/2.5 wide open:

Thanks. I've been using this lens for a week but even so I was shocked by how sharp this shot was when I zoomed in.

Looks like the K-3 III's image quality is beyond reproach from what I've seen so far.

It's pretty good, but what I am really enjoying is it makes using old manual glass really easy compared to earlier models: Av mode for older glass, hugely improved exposure accuracy, bright viewfinder, in viewfinder levels, excellent catch-in-focus. Definite thumbs up from me.

This is great news - I wondered how they were going to implement the legacy lens improvements. Is there much hassle to inputing the Aperture setting for your M42/K/M lenses?

Can you direct me to info on those changes/improvements to using legacy glass?

That is excellent image quality indeed. I'm wondering about the ease of using legacy glass as well.
