Some of my first good shots with my new-to-me Tokina SZ-Z 4.5-5.6 80-200 follow.

I've actually taken several shots that seemed a bit soft, even some that were at f8. I decided to take off the skylight filter that had come on the used lens, having inspected it and cleaned its exterior before, and in the process of removing it discovered that the ring holding the front element was a little loose! It isn't now, and the filter is off.

These shots are all with the lens two half-stops closed from wide open.

The first is a direct ooc jpeg, but the other two were slightly underexposed and needed some tweaking. Camera is K10D.

Cross post from K1/Post your K1 pics with vintage glasses:
My K1 arrived this week and I've had a little time to start playing with it. All the controls are logically placed and so far it all makes sense. All as shot, resized 50% with FastStone.

Vivitar 28-210 3.8-5.6 @ ~50mm at f/5, ISO 400, -1 step exposure, 1/800 sec.

Vivitar 28-210 @ f/4, ISO 400, -1 step exposure, 1/640 sec.

Vivitar 28-210 @ 135mm, f/10, ISO 400, -1 step exposure, 1/200 sec.

Taken a few years ago using the M35-70/2.8-3.5 on an *ist D. Sunset light was filtering thru the trees in the b/g. These shots were taken a few days apart, but at the same time of day

The Craigs Optics 60-300mm f/4-5.6 (Cosina) and the SMC Pentax-A 70-210mm f4 Macro. The Craigs is quite a bit lighter and when retracted, quite a bit smaller as well..

When extended it does get bigger, but it's 300mm so that's to be expected...

And a couple more pictures from the Craigs...
