I don't think the lifespan of the lens is any two years. I bought mine in October of 2015 and it is fine. But it is possible that the lens/camera combo needs a "tune up" from Pentax if it is off that much.

Went to Mabry Mill yesterday and used the K-1 II.

Classic shot of the mill (DFA 24-70mm/multiple exposure in average mode)

My Move! (DFA 24-70)

Spinning Wheel (shot at iso 12K, DFA 24-70)

These are lovely, Rondec. Makes me feel guilty for not using my 24-70 more often.

Thanks. It is just a good walk around lens. Not the greatest in any category, but flexible and that covers a multitude of sins.

Two other shots with the DFA 24-70.

Mabry Mill (this one is a traditional pixel shift)

The second Mill shot @f18 is nice, good resolution. I can read the small sign to the right. In the other shot of the Mill @f4 the wheel must have been turning? plus can't read sign. Pixel shift is good. thanks

That one is a combination of about 40 images. As you say, I should have stopped down a bit more and the multiple images blurred things a bit too, I think. The mill wheel was turning and I was trying to simulate a long exposure in what was very good light. Maybe unsuccesfully...
