Here are a couple of shots of the sun in the trees:

Someone had asked about the colors/saturation difference between the 16-50 and 24-70. This is just a throw away shot comparing the two shot at 50mm and f5.6 with no editing in Lightroom (sorry for the sensor dust). I don't think I could tell the difference just looking at them.

16-50

24-70

A couple more landscape shots.

And for something different, a shot of my son at 70mm and f3.5

The Nutcracker is in full swing and I was able to attend a dress rehearsal where they allowed photos. I LOVE this lens and the K3ii

It really is a fun lens to use. Maybe Santa will be good to you this year...

Would be interesting to see some shots that show how it performs in terms of its bokeh. I've read quite often that the Tamron Version sometimes struggles with producing a lovely bokeh...
Some even prefer the old Tamron 28-75 over the new one.

What about the Pentax version? Any "bokeh-shots" which reveal its capability in this respect?

Rondec, do you see this lens replacing your DA*16-50? Reason I ask is you've taken so many great pictures with that lens, it's difficult to see you replacing it.
Maybe you've got enough experience to answer this question now. Still very interested!

I'll try to get some shots up to show bokeh. I'd say it is decent for a zoom but not on the level of the FA limiteds.

As to it replacing the 16-50, it wouldn't for me, as I shoot a lot of landscapes and it isn't wide enough on APS-C. My wife will probably use it a lot with her wedding photography, where it is perfect focal length for portraits and formal shots.
