Please be more carefull with the sky.
Sorry. Sometimes I get a little carried away with the shadow sliders and get halo-y.

A few more random shots.

Sunset.

Victoria (my daughter -- shot at 70mm and f2.8)

Savannah (my niece -- shot at 70mm and f2.8)

The lens definitely feels quite usable at f2.8. As with all lenses, it does sharpen up stopped down a stop, but most of the time for portraiture you aren't attempting to get every pore showing up in vicious detail...

The pics have been beautiful. I've got the Tamron 28-75 as my 'normal' FF zoom but this looks to be a different class altogether.

This is 60mm and f3.2. My niece Havilah.

It is pretty sharp. This is iso 3200, so not the best conditions, but I like the colors and rendering for portraits from this lens.

Seems to be the best description yet for this lens The images I'm getting are similar to the FA Limiteds, not quite the bokeh, but color & rendering.

Agree, I'd also offer that both of the DFA's appear to be a step above the current pentax lens offerings. I think some may chime in and say, they better be for the price but it is still nice to see they are producing top notch lenses.

My brother, Nathaniel (some interesting Christmas light bokeh in the background)

Both shots are at f2.8 -- top one 58mm, bottom one 48mm.

If anyone is really interested I can post some (essentially) FF examples with this lens.... Well the Tamron 24-70mm VC but they are for all intents and purposes identical.
