Took the 24-70 out for its first spin the other weekend. Happy with it so far. No complaints with sharpness or handling on the K3.

Small venue gig. Hard to get focus right with singers in all black who move their head a lot when singing.

Shot some items at the opening day for a friend's new shop.

Oie des neiges / Snow Goose [Chen caerulescens] sur la Rivière Richelieu la nuit/ on the Richelieu River at night.

These times, we can see over 100 000 snow Geese on the River.

made from 33 vertical shots.

Note that this was made with very high ISO (10000), and very slow shutter speed (1/20).

Nice Bokeh with the 24-70mm.

Really good lens for Concert photography as well :

I really appreciate this lens more and more. I like the color rendition and the sharpness especially.
and the AF is really snappy, even in low light. It sometimes struggle in almost dark but I honestly can't blame the lens for that.

Quick question about filters. What polarising filters are you guys using on your 24-70mm? I was out yesterday in the low sun trying to focus on some fast cars, they turned out terrible!

Marumi Exus... lenstip review here (3rd rank)
Best value for the money!

Polarizing filters test 2015 - Marumi EXUS Circular P.L - LensTip.com

Also get their clear protective filter, the DFA 24-70 front element is very exposed and the front cap sometimes is hard to pinch, and may be removed by accident, even in the bag ... it's one of the only lens I put a protection filter.

I use the "Hoya 82mm Pro-1 Digital Circular Polarizing Filter" (not included in that test, sadly).

I am not really much of a fan of filters in general but I do have the CPL as well as NDs and ND Grad for the lens.
