These were posted in the K-5 forum, but I figured I'd cross-post them here.

Thanks!

To John and Carriangas, thanks! That Miranda is one of my favorite primes and it's been a real workhorse since I got it. Sometimes you get lucky on eBay, finding a bargain. Other times.....

Really nice shots there ... I just sold an Angéniex 35-70 with an Olympus mount ... kind of wish that I could have kept it around; maybe another will show up J

Gorgeous photos pinholecam!!!!! I like this group because I get to see photos of different lenses. Can you post a photo of the 400mm lens? Is the lens one that made in Germany? I have a 400mm German f5.5 lens intended for medium format so it is very large in diameter plus has heavy aluminum castings on it. I think the assumption was that you would always use it on a tripod but on my digital bodies it is quick enough that I can use it handheld.

Sears 28mm f/2.8

Bit of CA, but I think I introduced that myself trying to work on stamping out the problems with the damaged sensor on the camera.

Help with my new Petri 200mm f/3.5

I just received the above lens that I got very cheap on e b a y. The glass is very clear and the blades are clean and move freely. It is almost mint in condition. I tested it on my K5 and K7 and I noticed that the lens remains wide open regardless of the aperture. The blades open and close when I move the aperture lever. Then, I checked the depth of field preview and noticed that the viewfinder does not dim at all. I am almost certain that the camera is unable to connect with the aperture lever for some reason. As I said, the lens looks mint and in perfect condition and I doubt I can return it. Actually, I want to keep it. Has anybody had the same experience and is there a DIY way to fix the problem. Your help will be much appreciated. Thanks and regards.

Bonjour el baroda,

Is it a M42 mount ? Could post a photo or two of the mount, etc. ? Salut, J

Have a look at the elec contacts on the lens. They might be anodised and not "telling" the camera that it is there. Sandpaper or steel wool might solve your problem.

I just bought a Petri 135/3.5 off eBay, hasn't arrived yet. Interested to see how good it is.
