Super Weistar - DM again

Just some more reality oriented pics.

Unedited. Nice colors but focus was hard to achieve.

Both Mike's and Stewart's (?) pictures are very decent. Feel a little, itsy bitsy soft both of the pics, not that I am a qualified judge of it, but the lenses seem like pretty good buys to me

Got looking around my stuff and I have 2 oddballs in my bag. First one is a Toyo 28-80mm f3.5 Macro. I have some shots from it will try to get them up. The second lens is a Tele-Tokina 800mm f-8. It is a T-mount and a real beast of a lens. A little tough to use on wildlife with the preset aperature, manual focus, and 30" length, but with some patience it works. Don't know how to put them here but the pics of the eagles and foxes in my gallery were both shot with the 800mm.

Some From My Little Odd Ball

Found a Seikanon 28-80mm f/ 3.5-4.5 Marco Homeless in a pawnshop. Brought it home for $25 and gave it a good cleaning. It became one of my favorite lenses. It does like to flair, tends to look all washed out so likes smaller f-stops, higher contrast, and to be under-exposed. But I baby it. And Many Times When I get home I find treasures on the screen!

Anybody Know Much about this lens?

I'm a sucker

... for flowers, landscapes and colors. Great colors above. Shows again that the equipment doesn't have to cost top dollars to perform. Lovely pictures everyone!

Is Chinon, pentacon and Zenit considered odd?

First, chinon 135mm 2.8, second Pentacon 29mm 2.8, third Zenith 58mm. More details on the lenses if someone request it. Hmm did I post these already, at least one is new, worth looking at anyways I think.

This thread is excellent for me when checking ads for old lenses, hard to know if they are worth to have without seing pictures taken with them and many people have never even used them. So, thanks!

Yep, all three of those would be considered off-brand in North America. Hard to say about Europe...

Here is a brief history of Pentacon: Pentacon - Camerapedia.org and

Chinon: Chinon - Camerapedia.org

and Zenit: Zenit - Camerapedia.org

There is actually a Russian lens club thread here as well. I personally would consider these 3 more of an "oddity" rather than off brand because they have made some good lenses and bodies in their own right and Pentacon has its roots in the same places as Zeiss.

Thank you for the links. I was probably a bit unclear. I meant I could provide the full lens information if someone was interested in it. Very kind of you to take the time to post the links and I didn't know about the Russian lens club.

True. There seem to be differences among eu contries also. It's very interesting to compare prices between the local eBay (Tradera) which is not accessible outside Sweden with eBay UK and worldwide.

Thank you both for responding.
