Thank you mon ami!

And yes, the Industar. From the day it arrived from the Ukraine. I mounted it on the K10 and walked around shooting just to make it feel at home. It was an eBay deal, $50, brand new, never used.

I really like it, the sharpness, the colors. So far, all the shots I have posted from it have been straight out of the camera.

When I get around to making some shots of the K5IIs for the gear porn thread I'll have to get a shot or two with it mounted!

Looking forward to those snaps. And that's great to have the Industar new and getting such good SOOC captures with it ... bravo, J

Yes, I do need to get that done.

But I need some advice.

Should I try to suffocate the camera?

Nice shot. The star shaped bokeh is a great signature of the 61L/Z.

I like to use Soviet lenses for photos that aren't just run of the mill digital high contrast, vibrant shots.

Got this lens for fairly cheap ($200) considering the optical quality of it. It was a pain in the ___ trying to convert it to fit helicoid, many mistakes and unnecessary steps were take but I finally managed to put it together.
Will post photos of it later but after just a few test shots I'm very impressed when comparing to traditional SLR lenses.
This what it looked like.

and finished & mounted.
(and to keep the thread pure, all pics were taken with Zenitar 50mm K2)

Nice work. It fits better than the Industar does. I'm eager to see the results.

Now there's a proper Soviet lens! Big, brutal, utilitarian. I like! Good job on getting that thing on your camera. I look forward to some samples.

One from the Helios 40. It's definitely my favorite for golden-hour pictures.

I'm cross posting this from the bokeh thread. Helios 44-2, nearly wide open. Taken in the Alps.
