One more "marsh" photo
Another time with the K5 and Jupiter 9 85mm (this lens or "equivalent" should be in every quiver, even in APSC)

Anyway, my Jupiter 9 collection.
the lens on the left is the copy I have of the 85/f2

the Mir-1B 37/f2.8 is the only lens I have come across that I can flip the front element to achieve some funky bokeh effect....a one trick pony but a neat one

The Industar has 6 blades.

Right here Aaron.

Made this into Christmas cards.
Now that is some funky bokeh. Just when I thought I had my LBA under control...

The Industar is a neat little lens. It also is quite sharp, and renders well on digital cameras. Getting used to having the aperture ring on the front took some time, but it is second nature now.

Testing Mir 1B 37mm f / 2.8, a lens well known for its spectacular flares.

8 blades.....tried to get a few examples together...the circular saw/ sawtooth / ninja star bokeh....they show much better with the likes of xmas lights

it also exhibits the 'swirl' of a helios quite well

Nice Aaron, now I have added another lens to my must have list.

Imagine.

All those people over in the Doom and Gloom section, complaining every day, endlessly, that the livE hociR has failed them with little or no new lens offerings. Yet here we are, snatching up old Russian lenses and having the best time ever.

Ever!

One from an evening walk with an Industar-22, a 1950's collapsible rangefinder lens which is optically the same as the later Industar-50.

Yes, I started searching for one, and am finding that there are many different versions, f2, f2.8, six blades, eight blades. Perhaps you could show a couple pictures of yours?

Thanks Aaron. I saw that one earlier, and just now made an offer.

We will see what transpires . . . . . .

Thanks . . . . . .

. . . . . . well that was fast. I offered $40 and the guy accepted it almost instantly. I should have offered $35.

Sheesh!

Oh, and my first 35mm. I've been looking for one for some time now.

Woot! Woot!
