Interesting. First time I see silver version with a rotating tripod mount, usually they are fixed on silver ones.

Pretty nice lens, one of my favorite (next to J-6). If you want to improve contrast, good quality multi-coated filter and a hood work really good to improve photos on these lenses, especially on a sunny day.

I think I might sell it though, Im quite smitten with the Zeiss Planar 85 I got too!

what is a good MC to get? Hoya?

Hoya HD is pretty good but it works best with hood, it cuts haze to non-existent. If your thread filter adapter is 66mm you might need to get step up ring as most companies don't even make that diameter filters.

I hear you, you can shoot so many 85's at once.... I'll get something that I don't own as well but it would be quite difficult to part with my Helios 40. I'm pretty sure I won't be selling it.

fiveseven that's a couple of awesome kits....really pristine.

I don't have the complete photosniper kit (yet I'm considering servicing one of them, really dusty - any advice, or links ?

Indeed nice shots! Great series of the swimming dog. I love the grumpy "would you please put the camera away already" look on the last one.
