That's new to me, my copies seem to get "normal" once stopped down at 2.8.

Even optically, they aren't the same. It is said, that the newer the model, the better optical performance it has in general - not counting poor copies. Also, number of aperture blades vary - early versions had 8, later had 6 (MC ones and newer), and one (or more?) of the early versions even had 13 aperture blades.
Mechanical construction also changed many times.

Ahhh an excuse to use said Jupiter 9

f2, and very close,

I finely "upgraded" my brakes on my seccond love (old racing bikes) :P What you are looking at are some 60-70's Mafac Racing Twin Center pull calipers These were needed in order to fit some modern 700c wheels. My supply of 27x1" Panracer tyres has run out. So good bye to the old rims indeed.

The other shot shows up a bunch of gears I now have access to, Previously I had 5 on the rear to choose between (honestly they were enough) but now I've got sh1t in either direction. Perhaps for when I'm feeling hung over... The Suntour Cyclone derailleur is wonderful, it has enough travel to select all 7gears wonderfully. I think I could even stretch it to 9 if I wanted to be proper and mental.

Mafac and Mavic are both French brands, Suntour is naturally Japanese, and the bike?.. Well It's as English as they come being a Viscount Aerospace frame. hahaha :P

So who knows whats going to happen when i take her out in the morning. I suppose it might explode in protest? (insert racial jokes here)

But back to the pictures. So yes the portrait qualities are going to be fun. With such a soft rendering of the out of focus areas and shallow depth of field, this is going to be fun! :P

Also, the thing has a wonderful weight about it. on the K10, it was, well its the best balanced it has ever been.

Anyway, I'm gong to go say good night to my bike, and ogle the J9 some more

Starbursts...Not just for DA Limited Users. K-X with Helios 44-2 stopped down to f16. Moved the camera vertically a little bit right at first and also got little light trails.
