Will that work with the auto-aperature of a 44k-4?

Try the ones with aperture control lever (a flat pin) seen on the back of the tube. Most of the cheap Chinese products do not have this lever. Few of the cheap Chinese tubes have an aperture lock pin, but it will lock the aperture permanently and not only when you take the snap; a real trouble in low light.

Thanks! No extension tubes. The minimum focusing distance seems to be pretty good on the 44-2.

They are made for manual focusing using a knob (gear setup) and mainly for video. I use them for overall faster more precise focusing, works really good.

Hi,

This may not be the correct place to post this and if so my apologies.

I'm having a spot of bother with my 135mm F3.5 Jupiter 37A and I'm hoping that somebody can point me in the correct direction for a remedy. I am having trouble getting it to focus sharply on my K200D, it seems to be sharp in the viewfinder and the focus confirm beeps ok but the results are, shall we say - soft. I have noticed that the distance scale is correct at 1.2m but not at infinity which seems to be found at about 7m and the lens then continues on to the infinity mark where it is completely out of focus. I have other m42 lenses and have not encountered this problem before.

Any advice much appreciated.

I have similar problems with my Jupiter-9 85/2 and maybe with other manual lenses too. The only reliable focusing for me is using Live View.

What I seem to observe is that the focus confirmation is way off. Unlike in your case the focus confirmation does not match when the image seem to be in focus on the focusing screen. Actually I would suggest to look again at this. I would expect that the focusing screen should give reliable focusing if the focusing screen is installed and shimmed correctly.

I do not know if there is any agreement on the internet why the focus confirmation may be off, though I can think of a few reasons, so I have never expected it to work accurately with old lenses.

As for infinity being shifted it does seem too much, I do not own the J-37A, so I can't help you

Sample pictures please? This sounds like a problem I've had with the Jupiter 37A.
