Some shots with the J-9 from today:

Not exactly a 200mm, but not too bad for 85mm, f/2.8:

Color of the skin on the shot №2 is ok? The skin is not in cyan tone?

I decided to search for some information regaeding these Russian lenses and came across this thread. I must say, these are some of the best photos I have ever come across. Congrats to a ll the posters.

Now, to check eBay....are there any other places to buy these lenses. I like the Zenitar 16 fisheye and Takumar 85 2.8 specifically.

Beautiful images Gus! All of them! Helios-44 is one very underrated lens which delivers dreamy images with a great character.

Thanks for posting!

Thanks Voe... I was not expecting a lot from this lens, but have been very happy with its 'look'.... It is definately one of my new faves.

Next up some from my first few days with the Jupiter 9...

My Russian 'Limited'

Ok back to the Helios-44M

I cant get enough of this easy to use 58mm F2. Even wide open this thing is pretty sharp. Not bad for a 20 dollar lens.

First a couple of Schnaportraits of my friends.

And a few more from last week

The last three are with the raynox 250 attached...

LOVE THIS LENS
