A year and a half ago, a ticket to a baseball game was thrown at me at work. It was a Tuesday, so no one else wanted it. I don't have any interest in sports, but hey, it was free after the $4 bus/train ticket to get there. Cheaper than parking. I'm cheap.

I took the Jupiter 8, tiny and inconspicuous for public transit. Also cheap.

Now, it seems strange to see so many people in one place.

Very nice picture and bokeh ! I bought once a very cheap Industar 50-2 but its focus was not working (it turned but didn't go back and forth !!).

Thanks! You should be able to find a good one fairly easily. I bought mine from a forum member for about $25. Cheap entertainment

I've got quite a few old soviet lenses that I must dig out and have a play with on the K1. Here's a shot from one of them, a Mir-1B, using my K10D. Quite an interesting rendering of the out of focus highlights.

Helios 44K-4 on Pentax K-3 II.

1/320, F5,6 or F4, ISO100. Processed in DxO Photolab 3.

Under bright sunlight the lens producessomewhat muted colours, but I decided to keep the image as close to the "original" as possible.

Helios 44-2. Yes, it was delicious and cold. Reasonably edited to pull detail and contrast out of the original, flared image.

I have an Industar 50-2 en route to me too! Hopefully it's working fine, apparently everything turns reasonably smoothly so I'll give it an assessment when it arrives. At £12 (same as I paid for my Helios, above, as it happens) it's worth a punt!

This Industar 50-2 is great fun. Funky little lens with heaps of character. So simple to use, leave it at f/3.5-f5.6 and be snap-happy.
Pretty sure these were taken wide-open, on the Sony A7iii.

Hello, this was taken with Zenitar 16 (on Sony A7ii), just to show this lens has nothing to envy newer fisheye lenses
