Here is (I guess) my only contribution to the Russian lenses "club", based on a Russian lens I had several years ago (which was the only Russian lens I've ever owned, and which I no longer have).
For a short period of time I had the pleasure of playing around with the unusual
MC Zenitar K 85/1.4, an 85/1.4 K-mount Zenitar lens, unrelated to any of the other Russian 85's, as far as I know.
Below are some photos of the lens, followed by a few photos taken through the lens.
[I do apologize for the poor quality of the photos taken of the lens, which were made with the first Pentax digital camera (no, not the *ist-D, which was the first Pentax DSLR), the Pentax "EI-C90", featuring a 400 KP (yes, that's ~kilo~pixels) sensor - <g>.]
[OK, the images taken ~through~ the lens are not great, either, since they simply were scans taken from 4x6 prints.]
[Please remember that all of these images were created way back in the "digital pioneering days of yore", when bandwidth was pretty low, online storage space was pretty expensive, and digital hardware was pretty weak - <g>.]
"Abbott and Costello 85/1.4's" (next to an A* 85/1.4) - "Hey, Abbott !!!" (next to an A* 85/1.4) - The front of the lens with its lens cap still on - Yes, this ~IS~ a K-mount lens - No (obviously), this is ~NOT~ a Japanese Lens - Proudly mounted on a Pentax LX - With generous 72mm filter threads !!! - It's "f/8 and Be There" (next to an A* 85/1.4) - 7 Elements in 6 Groups - And, finally, here are a few sample images taken with the Zenitar K 85/1.4 (all at f/1.4) - A ~most~ interesting lens ...
