Grishazz, cool lens and here's some more info

Jake, like the last blurry one, can't see much crossprocess in it (sure depends on the colors)

Here's one from a two-blade aperture lens and you can see it in the diamond-shaped highlights

M42 MC Zenitar-ME1 1,7/50 on K100D @f/2 from the long literature night, reading on the street

Squier, what does the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty say about you owning that thing?

I own & sometimes shoot with Russian lenses, but I don't have any I could use on my Pentaxes. They are used on a Zorki (Russian Leica screwmount copy) and a Kiev (Russian Contax ll copy).

I really love using the Helios 40. I have the first, single coated, chrome variant. It flares horribly to the point where a hood is practically mandatory, and the larger apertures are pretty soft around the corners. But when it works like you want it to, it's capable of some pretty amazing stuff!

I think mine was made in around '63, so I needed to re-lube it and clean out a lot of dirt and grime, not to mention buff and polish the chrome finish

Had anyone tried MC Rubinar 300/4.5 ? (МС Рубинар 300/4.5)
It's a mirror-lens. (or 500/5.6 version)

I also picked up a Helios-44M today for $14.

Kinda soft at the edges and corners in a circular sorta way, though...

M39 mount Industar-61, these are all wide-open. Lens duct-taped to M42-EOS adapter on Canon 40D. Handheld, varying Tv and ISO values as seen in EXIFs.

Last one is the camera right side of the FED 3b that I got with the Industar for $10 at a thrift store, complete with original leather never-ready case.
