This was just a test shot with the Super Takumar 1:2/55. Shot at f2 with the K10D in JPEG mode.

It should do that. I've never bothered to test it out since I have the ESII which can do the same thing (and so much more!) without the need for an adapter.

[QUOTE=jamonation;508664]With all the talk about the DA* 55mm f1.4 lately, I thought I'd join the fray with my SMC 55mm f1.8 Takumar. The first is a garage I've been meaning to photograph for a while but always found something in the way. The second was something's meal (I tried to hide the large wound where in fact its heart is missing).

I like very much the garage shot!!

If the ME is anything like the Program Plus... and the ZX-10... then it will meter correctly, better in fact than any of the digital bodies.

Here's one with the 55/1.8 on the Pgm Plus, fuji 400H film

We need a bump, and I need to get through more of my backlog of photos, so here are 2 more from my 35mm f2 Super Takumar. The boot was in the same place yesterday as it was 2 weeks ago when I first found it, I expect it'll remain there indefinitely.

Speaking of the wonderful 55/1.8, I went to Berkeley the other day with my fiancee and decided to bring that lens. Immediately, I thought it was a bad choice (too tight) - but it worked out okay.

I had to include this one. I didn't notice until afterwards, but I love the expression on the pink dog!

Let's get this thread up to 2,000 posts. Like Obama says, "it can be done!"

What do you guys think of the 24/3.5? I just picked up this lens, admittedly I've only been able to play with it at night...with no support.

I'm not sure if it has the magic of the 28/3.5 or 55/1.8, but it's built heavy and has lots of glass. Must be there for a reason, right?

Great stuff edl, you and I share a penchant for railway tracks it seems (but then who doesn't? open space, strong lines and such). Here are 2 from a couple weeks ago, too bad about the contrail in the second one, it's a point of interest, but the direction of it is too distracting I think.

edit: both with 35mm f2 Super Takumar

Yes! Another rail lover! Great photos - what is that building and tower in the first photo? That copper roof is pretty insane.
