Thank you, Paul. Yes, the preset 1:1 Macro-tak... I had to pull the big guns after being enamored by that Minolta AF Macro showcased in the other thread...

Wow, those are both fantastic. I love atmospheric shots like these.

I think they're both pretty brilliant. I need to learn to "see" those types of shots...and have my camera gear with me at night.

Yes, very nice indeed. Aside from the sharpness and beautiful rendering of this lens, I find the color balance to be spot on as well. Like!

Thank you all. Ever since I've gone digital I've basically taken it out on nights (film never was fun in the dark, but digital is). The light is soo much fun when it's dark. To be honest, we only spotted the tree reflection on the way back to our cars (I was there with a photographer friend of mine), but that indeed made my evening.

Out last night with the Super Multi Coated Takumar 50mm F/1.4 on my EM1 MkII. SMall crop, PP to get the lighting as close to what I observed as possible and then some sharpening.

Thanks for sharing an intriguing image; I'm not at all sure what is coming in to land, probably a bird, but the fact that I can't tell rightaway makes this a fun image for me.

Thank you.

It is indeed a bird, a local Woodpigeon.

When I first looked at the capture it first looked like maybe a bird was diving down, wings folded back, head out in front. Then I cropped a little to try to get just close enough that the viewer needed to juggle with that component to figure out what was going on. I did consider cropping in closer to make it more clear but the image, in my view, benefits from the various components of light and shade and warmth.

I'll probably play with it a bit more.
