There are a bunch of stunning shots in this thread for sure!

I'll share a shot that I took yesterday that may not be stunning, but it is a good example of why I like the Super Takumar 35mm f3.5. It's a great lens for snapshots. Set it at f8.0 and using the hyperfocal marks, everything from 7ft to infinity is in focus. In this shot I backed the focus up just a little and snapped the shot. Works great, and in a lot of cases you don't even need to mess with the focus settings.

Took these just after my niece's 2nd B'day. The whole family pitched in for a trampoline with the meshed sides (more on this later).

Here's just a few shots from my Super Tak 105mm f/2.8.

I had to peek through the mesh to get the shots ... making it not that easy with the 105mm FOV. Weird Bokeh is from the mesh around the trampoline.

My wife had fun on there as well as she was playing with her at the time. My niece has just figured out how to jump now so it's all good fun for her ... all she says now is "BOING BOING BOING"

Such a poser

Trampoline, polyester, jumping/rolling, windy day = static hair

I can tell you it is not easy trying to track a 2yo running around and jumping with such a tight FOV ... I found using my Super Tak 85mm a lot easier when it came to shooting. (I have some from that lens to post up as well.

Good stuff all around!

Fred, that 35mm sure is a dandy - yes, that's the kind of shot it does so well, what I think of as its even handedness and unruffalbility.

The creamy color and texture on the building (especially in the first shot) are great. I can't help but think it's a big ol' cake and want to cut a slice out of it.

Thanks. No, there are some buildings in Norwood that could almost be these, but this is the State Library on North Tce. Sounds like you know Adelaide...

Some images taken with the Super Takumar 55mm 1.8. These images are from a small project I set myself to photograph mundane objects on my balcony. Here's the full set.

.

Just arrived today. I blame Mike Cash and all the rest of you 105 owners who
have posted here for the fact that I now own this lens.

A few test shots at ISO 400. This baby rocks, can't wait to get more time
with it:

This thread contains, hands down, the best photography I've seen in the forums excepting the dedicated galleries and competishes . . .

Very inspiring work, lads. I'm Pavlovian on this stuff now, and questing to purchase my own.

I think you've all increased the price of Takumars. Well worth it.
