Of course, I would've really liked a comparison with the auto-Tak 35. I was looking for reviews of the auto-Tak when I found this video. It's well done.

I watched a Japanese YouTube video today, this one:

in which the vlogger claims the auto-Takumar 55mm f2 lens is actually made by Tomioka. A comment by Bo Zhang on this video asserts the same thing,

This is the internet. Stuff gets repeated a lot but that does not make it true. I’ve handled both the Takumar and the Yashinon/Tomioka, which is 50mm rather than 55mm by the way, and they are clearly different. But I suspect the Yashinon to have been styled after the Takumar.
