Great shot, Paul. I just found out that the Tak 20 was considered a professional lens by Asahi Pentax. It certainly is an exceptional optic. This might be interesting to some: https://lens-db.com/system/asahi-pentax-m42/
Oops, that shot was actually taken with the ST 35/3.5, also an amazing lens. Apologies!

I found northbound Island Girl and her tow tied up beneath the U.S. 264 bridge over the south end of the Alligator-Pungo Canal on a foggy evening a few days ago. The crewman at the pilot-house door called over that they were "waiting on weather". I checked when I got back to the boatyard and found that it was blowing 30 knots out of the northwest on the Albemarle Sound, good reason to wait. SMC Takumar 55/2.

A post by @paulh in another thread got me wondering what I was doing photographically exactly ten years ago. So here's one with the K100D and Super Takumar 20mm/4.5 from March 2013.

And another one from March 2013 with the Tak 20 on Kodak Tri-X.

A series of unfortunate events a couple of years ago left me with no more Takumars. But now I've discovered that it's fun to go back to snaps from a loooong time ago and rediscover them, so perhaps I can renew my membership in the Takumar Club after all.

And yes, the itch to get myself a Tak or two again is growing. I mean, there's no harm in picking up a cheap little Super Tak 55mm/2.0 is there? Just for old time's sake? Then maybe that early 28mm with the 58mm filter ring that a local shop has had on display for just ages. I've never owned that version. And I've always wanted to have the 200mm/5.6 preset. . . and. . .

You're stronger than LBA. In fact: you never had an addiction in the first place. All joking aside: the lenses - Takumars or not - are just instruments to create an image and revisiting older stuff is a good way to get the creative juices flowing and see how you've evolved.

Holewort, taken with the K-1 and Super-Takumar 1:2/35 (first version with 67mm filter thread) plus extension tube 1 at f/2,8 (?).
