Very inspiring work, lads. I'm Pavlovian on this stuff now, and questing to purchase my own.

I think you've all increased the price of Takumars. Well worth it.
Very true. I'm really enjoying my S-M-C 55/1.8, my only Takumar. One of those 105 thingys would certainly be nice as well.

Beautiful images Zewrak. Someone in my household was watching Cars on DVD today - those last few shots reminded me of that!

Zewrak & Figmental, those are simply phenomenal photography. I actually wouldn't mind having any of those framed and on a wall - superb.

I've been anxiously waiting to add my contribution. Just got the Super Tak 85mm 1.9 non SMC.
I missed out on a nice 1.8 but I am still looking.
Anyway, the DOF shot first. Shot wide open.

Next, a little scenery.

And last, a candid.

What am I doing wrong when I get skin tone like this in the candid?

Just trying to figure out the new lens, but so far I really like it. I get in a bit of a hurry when I shoot the candids so I don't upset anyone. Once I figure it out and get a little faster..
I also just purchased a Tamron 28-75 for portrait /multi-purpose.

I'm a happy camper right now

Edit:
I forgot to add that what everyone says about the focus being smooth on these lenses is so right, love it!

I found a S-M-C/Super Takumar 85mm F1.9 today here in sweden, for a very cheap price.
I'm completely new to all this, but ..even with no experience in photo should I maybe buy it? From what I've been able to read it's quite hard to get an hold of
and very liked.

Gonna buy an adapter to the k20d anyway since this "search for old lenses in strange places" stuff is really fun.

Edit: Will buy it, even if I hate myself(and is abit worried about this LBA) since I haven't ordered the K20d yet. Will do that later today though!

Congratulations, and go for it, you can't go too far wrong with any Takumar, assuming it is in working order, espcially a near-legend like a 85.

I've been trying to get a wow shot or two with my 28/3.5, but somehow these come hard for me, while seems everyone else squeezes them off casually and with ease... I don't know what I'm not doing right, it's difficult for me. Anyway, here's one that almost makes it:

I think I'll share a few shots from my Sup Taks. My 105mm f2.8 is fast becoming a favorite.

The 28mm f3.5

The SMC Sup Tak 50mm f1.4

And the 105mm f2.8

I have the same problem with the 35 and 28. I have come to the conclusion that I am not a wideangle guy.
