What the heck, make it 3 in a row... Photo made with the Macro-Takumar 50/4 preset.

This is a 1933 Zeiss Ikon Ikomat 520, a 6x4.5 folding camera using 120 film, a rim set Compur with speed to 1/300, and a Tessar 70mm f/3.5. This little camera still works great after 77 years.

A few from the Oakland Cemetery in Tallahassee, today. All taken with the Aut Tak 55mm f1.8 'Zebra' and K200D.

Time and this pine tree had taken its toll on this woman's grave . . .

I thought the same thing when I uncovered the dates from the pine needles and dirt. There are quite a few WWI and WWII vets buried in there. In fact, there is a section dedicated to military. All in all, that crypt seemed out of place in there.

For those that don't think the Auto Taks are worthy, here is one of the crypt taken with the DA 35mm ltd (K20D) and one with the Auto Tak 55mm 'Zebra' made in 1958 (on K200D). Very little pp to either.

Mike, that there picture is vintage beauty, something I'd expect to see in a early 70's Vogue or Life... That's just simply a superior photograph. That it's done with about as vintage Pentax as you can get, is icing.

One more with the Macro-Takumar 50/4, K100D, this time of a Shure V15 vmr phonot cartridge

Thanks very much. I hate to sound vain, but I am extraordinarily pleased with that photo myself. I walked that day until I wore out my knees and was in pain for about two weeks afterward, but that was a shot that I knew all by itself would make it worth it......provided the damned thing came out anything like I hoped it would.

People who grew up on digital will probably never understand the appeal or enjoyment of waiting for your film come back to see how things turned out. When I was a kid it took a week from the time you handed them off until you got them back. (This Kodak Industrial Grade film was gifted to me by a guy who had it gifted to him).

Nesster: What a fascinating piece of gear, so time-worn and full of history. I simply love the textures of old metal. Do you have some shots with that Zeiss Ikon? I guess they don't fit this thread, but you can point to them elsewhere.

The Shure phono cartridge shot has a wondefrul quality from the bokeh and colour feeling. And speaking of which...

Mike -- "1959 Pentax S2 S-M-C Takumar 35/2": Wow! full-on vintage in an absolute classic shot. Thank you both for sharing these!
