Ohh, I like that water there Mr. Cash, unfortunately this is about as fast as it flows where I'm at in Toronto:

SMC Takumar 55mm f1.8

Not too unfortunate, jamonation,
looks like a view through a window pane, nice opposition of the leaf/ground and reflections/shadows.

Here is a still of a fast track, no train coming, fortunate again .-)

SMC Tak 1.4/50 on K100D (on tripod, of course :-)

All the best, Georg (the other)

well, i want the 1.9, because it will make a set "super-takumar", i have the "super multi coated" one and am thinking of trading.
Maybe $100-150? I have the Super-Takumar 85mm f1.9, but the older model with a different font and more space between the letters. Mine also is pretty worn looking (though perfectly functional), so it's not really collection-worthy. The ones I've seen for sale recently are quite a bit more than I paid.

I know the f1.8 models are better, but I like the photos from the f1.9.

Very simple. For images over 800 pixels wide change the IMG and /IMG tags to IMGWIDE and /IMGWIDE. Enclose inside [ ] of course.

Pentax Spotmatic ESII
SMC Takumar 50/1.4
DNP Centuria film

More and more I think if I could only keep one of my cameras, it would probably be the ESII.

Thanks Mike,
I've edited my above post, works easy. I will complain about the compression algorithm in another thread

I think it's down a few hundred dollars from last spring. They'll just keep relisting until they find the right buyer. The same seller used to list another lens for $1100 that I picked up for $70, with a K1000 included. The listing made me feel great about my purchase.

Sadly, it's the reader's web browser that's doing the scaling. This doesn't reliably preserve fine details (such as the wires).

The most reliable workaround is to scale to 800px wide before posting.

places like zenfolio allow you to upload images up to 10 (or they might have bumped it up to 14 now) megabytes in size, and the cool thing is that a) they scale their web presentation to the size of YOUR screen and b) if you are viewing your own zenfolio page while logged in, when you right click an image you get additional features that regular viewers dont (unless the hack the code), like selecting a specified link to a specified scaled down size

and their scaling algorithms are VERY GOOD, allowing you to never bother re-scaling them manually.

I think flickr's scaling algorithms are nearly perfect, IMO.

3 from yesterday with the 55mm SMC Takumar, not sure what I think about any of them. All 1024px wide and scaled well with the imgwide tags though:

i think this is the first incarnation of the super takumar 35mm f2. the filter ring is either 67mm or 72mm. the hood for the 6x7 55mm f4 fits!!!

cheers!

I don't know what happened to it. That site was a great resource. I sure hope it's not gone for good.
